Overview:

We are a large Canadian corporation with an international presence and we are now planning on launching a Japanese version of our web site. An instrumental member of the Customer Experience, Solutions & Innovations team, the Web producer manages and maintains online content of our web sites and email campaigns.

Job Description:

Develop and manage our websites through the production of web pages, web content updates, and web functionality on behalf of the various Business Units. Develop, test, and deploy email communications on behalf of the various Business Units.

Key Functions:

- Be a prime point of contact for web related changes to the company’s Business Units. – Update/amend existing code on our websites to add or subtract new content to the websites including form amendments, template amendments, dynamic navigation updates, static content amendments, and dynamic content amendments. – Ensure updates are delivered against agreed timescales. – Develop, setup, edit, test, and launch email campaigns through our company’s email engine. – Collaborate with external partners such as Agencies and 3rd party suppliers to assist with data collection and reporting. – Provide on-call / availability coverage on rotating basis.

Qualifications:

- Degree/diploma from an accredited technical or design program and/or appropriate combination of experience. – 2 years Web/Email Production experience in a commercial environment. – Demonstrated high-level HTML content creation skills. – Ample creative flair matched with thorough understanding of usability principles. – Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. – Working knowledge of XML, JSP, ASP, PHP is considered an asset. – Solid analytical skills to organize, prioritize and present Web/email content from multiple sources. – Experience with email management systems an asset. – Meticulous attention to detail with regard to design, language and dollar amounts. – Proven self-starter skills with ability to manage under minimum supervision with input from several key internal departments. – Thorough knowledge of the Internet and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in a business environment. – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. – Strong customer service skills. – Airline reservations experience is considered an asset. – Proficiency in Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. – Flexibility to work outside normal office hours as required. – Bilingual in English and Japanese (oral and written) is mandatory. Mandarin, Cantonese an asset. – Excellent organizational and documentation skills are necessary.
