The Opportunity
Contemporary Security Canada (CSC), an integrated team of local and international experts, will provide security screening services for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
To support the security screening services contract, CSC is seeking an IT Support Officer to:
• Trouble shoot user computers and printer related issues
• Train users on basic applications and program
• Assist the network administrator in other related network issues
• Support Windows XP and VISTA machines
• Install and uninstall software’s
• Image restores and backups

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field preferred
• 3-4 years of detailed, hands-on experience in support and administration
• Experienced with IT 24/7 high availability operations best practices
• Hands on Enterprise Network and/or Server operations experience required
• Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows Vista, MS Office and Anti Virus Software applications
• Fast Learner and good listener; excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills
• Excellence in English (verbal and written communication)
• Demonstrated ability to develop trusting relationships with all levels of the organization
• Self motivated and proactive; results oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
• Ability to manage numerous projects and/or tasks at the same time
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality output
• Ability to work within a team, flexibility in approach to work
• Comfort in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where roles change and expand to meet operational needs
• Able to work additional hours as required, some travel may be required
