IT Specialist Intermediate Level - Jack/Jill of all trades (South Surrey)

Not unlike Jack and the Beanstalk…….our IT department is growing and we are looking to add another member to our team, maybe it is YOU!
Our organization would be considered by some as medium sized, we support our 10 distribution centers throughout Canada as well as a number of field representatives. In addition we have 200+ retail locations that may also occasionally require some IT assistance. Ideally this position will suit someone that wants to learn our business from the inside out, someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty doing some installation work but on the flip side can handle any user support issue.
YOU must truly want to be a Jack/Jill of all trades! The skills/experience that we are specially looking for include:
o 2-4 years of IT experience or University/college degree/diploma in IT or combination of both.
o Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2007 environment
o Sound understanding of IP protocols, security, and Microsoft networking principles: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, RDP
o Installation/Maintenance/Troubleshooting all desktops/laptops & peripherals
o Installation/Maintenance Troubleshooting all desktop software problems
o Solid understanding of Windows Operating Systems & MS Office
o Experience with the following areas would be an asset: Symantec Endpoint, Veritas Backup o Strong knowledge of general network and systems administration procedures and methodologies
