IT Project Plan Coordinator (Vancouver)

The Opportunity
Contemporary Security Canada (CSC), an integrated team of local and international experts, will provide security screening services for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
To support the security screening services contract, CSC is seeking an IT Project Plan Coordinator to:
• Analyse business needs and documents IT requirements through interviewing users and reviewing and analyzing existing system issues and requests
• Utilize sound project management principles to ensure full development, implementation, and support of IT solutions
• Articulates interrelationships and recasts business flow into training processes and in addressing user support issues
• Support reporting requirements/report development, user interfaces, and conducts the final evaluation of the system solution as system development progresses
• Serves as liaison between line business (User) and the IT organization
• Supervise Network Administrator and IT Support Officer
• Manage, monitor, and report on the Information Technology budget

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field preferred
• 5-6 years of related experience.
• Broad-based knowledge of information technology and applications
• Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows Vista, MS Office applications (Visio, Project, Access, etc) and knowledge of MS SQL is preferred.
• Ability to analyse and document processes, methods, solutions, etc.
• Ability to translate business processes and requirements into system specification.
• Fast Learner and good listener; excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills
• Excellence in English (verbal and written communication)
• Demonstrated ability to develop trusting relationships with all levels of the organization
• Self motivated and proactive; results oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
• Ability to manage numerous projects and/or tasks at the same time
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality output
• Ability to work within a team, flexibility in approach to work
• Comfort in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where roles change and expand to meet operational needs
• Able to work additional hours as required, some travel may be required
