Residential Facilities Manager (North Vancouver)

Kiwanis North Vancouver Housing Society is seeking a Facilities Manager to manage and maintain four seniors rental buildings in North Vancouver. The buildings include two high-rise towers and two low-rise structures with a total of 350 affordable rental units. The Facilities Manager will report to the Executive Director and be responsilble for the management and maintenance of rental suites and all building systems in the four buildings. Specific responsibilities include:
-manage three building supervisors and two weekend assistants
-plan long range maintenance and repair of all suites and building systems
-coordinate regular service inspections
-coordinate maintenance and repairs
-maintain service and maintenance records
-prepare annual maintenance budget and monitor monthly expenses
The preferred candiate must have experience in high and low-rise building systems including maintenance and repairs as well as residential rental management. Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry repairs is a definite asset. Candidates should also have very good organizational skills, excellent comuinication skills including verbal, written and interpersonnal, and good computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate will require a security record check.
