Working closely as a team, provides guidance and recommendations to all levels of management on day-to-day operational challenges involving employee relations and labour relations
Develops and executes frontline employee talent acquisition strategies
On regular basis, delivers training to management, supervisory and hourly employees
Supports managers in ARAMARK's "Career Management Process", employee development, succession-planning program
Participates in the business development process by designing and implementing human resources strategies
Responsible for day to day administration of collective agreements between the Company and unions; Step Three grievances, and assists in preparation for Arbitrations
Assists in the preparations for negotiations
Sits on the Company's bargaining team in collective bargaining
In conjunction with Human Resources Director, ensures that the human resources and labour relations functions are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business objectives
Builds positive working relationships with union representatives

College diploma or university degree; preference will be given to candidates with majors Human Resources or Industrial Relations
CHRP designation an asset
Minimum 5 years experience as human resources / labour relations practitioner in a busy environment
Strong computer skills; strong negotiation skills
Demonstrated strong organization and interpersonal skills; must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, demonstrate problem-solving, innovation and customer service skills.

Investigates human rights complaints, employment standards complaints, and assists in preparation for quasi-judicial hearings
Investigates and responds to "employee hotline" calls
Guides management in situations involving progressive discipline
Provides advice on the discipline and termination of employees
Provides guidance on OH&S topics, as required by the business
Provides leadership to OH&S Specialist, Training Specialist, Payroll, and office reception
Researches and develops policies and procedures that may contribute to business needs
Works on HR related projects, made necessary by business
