Payroll Administrator (Downtown Vancouver)

We are seeking a Payroll Administrator for a very successful, reputable, and stable company based in downtown Vancouver. The new Payroll Administrator will be taking care of all internal payroll for the company. Not a one-person show, so there is "back-up" and a great team environment. Previous experience processing payroll for a minumum of 500+ employees is required.
Responsibilities include:
• Processing payroll journal entries, ROEs, and manual cheques, and processing T4s and T4As
• Researching any payroll related issues, and generally keeping up to date on payroll regulation changes (i.e. provincial wages, tax laws, etc.).
• Taking care of remittances- federal and provincial.
• Taking care of year-end procedures
• Tracking employee garnishments, attendance, leave, overtime.
Ideal Profile:
• 3+ years in a Payroll Administrator capacity with responsibilities for provinces outside of BC
• Understanding of a sophisticated payroll system such as Ceridian or ADP
• Excellent communication skills- verbal, non-verbal, and written.
• Great relationship-building skills and the ability to interact with a variety of people in all functions and levels of the organization.
• Professional and pleasant
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and to remain cool under pressure
• Payroll certification and/or education is an asset
Compensation:
• $40,000 to $50,000 depending on level of experience, plus vacation, benefits, educational perks, etc.
