TM8 Recruitment www.tm8.ca is helping our client, a leading steel industrial / manufacturing company, find a High-performing Sales Engineer for its’ Vancouver, BC location. A background in Structural Engineering is required as are strong customer-facing skills.

This role offers an excellent salary and bonus structure provides compensation well into the six-figure mark. Negotiable – $100,000-$150,000+

This position will be responsible for bringing a proven concept and process to the construction industry in the North American market.

Job Description:

*Presents project specific solutions to clients. Provides quality designs and advice to secure and integrate products on site plans. *Responds to clients on project-specific inquiries and general industry questions. *Coordinates with client’s structural engineers *Maintain knowledge and certifications in civil engineering field. *Utilizes client’s CRM to effectively manage projects. Updates regularly to ensure information is timely, accurate and complete. *Continuously improves technical expertise and knowledge of products, competitive products and structural infrastructure trends. *Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and customers – both internal and external. *Proactively promote products to increase pipeline and sales.

Required Skills & Experience:

*A Structural/Civil Engineering Degree *Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a structural engineering role with experience in construction, re-bar, steel industry. *Ability to understand engineering concepts and convey those concepts to potential customers for the purposes of generating new clients and business development. *Strong customer-facing skills and a sales background is preferred. *Contacts within the Construction Industry is preferred. *Excellent communication skills. *Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills resulting in innovation solutions to clients and ability to work both independently and within a team environment. *Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs. *Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
