Outside Sales Representative-Heavy Equipment

TM8 Recruitment http://www.tm8.ca has an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to work with an industry leader in the capital equipment sector.
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Outside Sales Representative for their Capital Equipment Division. Must be results oriented and driven to seek out and close new business.
Salary: 40-50K base depending on experience plus uncapped commissions is offered in return for your efforts.
If you have a background in Mining, Forestry or Construction with a focus on the sale of capital or heavy equipment in an outside sales role this is the opportunity for you.
Job Description & Duties:
Generate new business through cold calling, qualifying, prospecting, networking and referrals
Consult with manufacturing division on various custom projects and applications
Comfortable managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing large corporate accounts
Ability to negotiate and close complex deals with key decision makers resulting in large transactions between $100K to $2 Million
Assist in initial stages of training and machine start up for new clients
Attend tradeshows and industry conferences
Open to travel throughout Western Canada and United States 50%+ of the time.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in outside sales in a hunter related role preferably in the forestry, mining , oil & gas or related industries
Familiar calling on C-level decision makers
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and passport
A network of existing contacts in the US and Canada Pacific Northwest Region would be an asset
Specific experience selling into sawmill, pulp & paper industry an asset
Heavy equipment/capital equipment sales an asset
