Manufacturing Engineer (Vancouver)

TM8 Recruitment www.tm8.ca is helping our client, a leading steel wire & wire products manufacturing company, find a qualified Manufacturing Engineer for its' Vancouver, BC location. This role offers a salary of $75,000-$90,000 depending on qualifications & experience.
This position will provide technical expertise and project management for the development of product processes and equipment for North American and International Operations.
Job Description:
• Create and manage project teams for the implementation of new products, processes and equipment. Includes the design, modification and installation of the new processes or equipment.
• Evaluate proposals developed by other departments for feasibility and cost effectiveness.
• Provide technical expertise to domestic and international entities in developing and submitting proposals for new or improved products, processes and equipment.
• Develop Capital Appropriation Requests for senior management approval.
• Develop deliverables for each project and develop project schedules and monitor progress of projects.
• Ensure project deliverables are met and completed on time and on budget and provides weekly project status reports.
Qualifications:
• A Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent University education.
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a senior engineering role with hands on experience with mechanical design, project management and machine shop practices.
• Comprehensive working ability with CAD and with design and modifications of manufacturing machinery.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills resulting in innovation solutions and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
