We also engage our strategic networks of business, research, financial and other experts to address the specific needs of our not-for-profit partners.

Reporting to the Director, Investor Development, this position is responsible for strategic development, management, analysis, and reporting to support our business model, investors, partners and not-for-profit organization projects. This position is also responsible for proactively making recommendations related to meeting our organizational business goals.

Key Accountabilities:
• Identify and evaluate prospective investors, partners and not-for-profit organizations to assist the investor development and project development teams to establish relationships that advance the mission of LIFT Philanthropy Partners;
• Formulate, develop and implement proactive research strategies to identify new prospective investors, partners and not-for-profit organizations;
• Provide comprehensive background information; analyze linkages, interests and potential of prospects; and recommend assignment to appropriate LIFT staff/teams;
• Collect and develop print and digital resources to meet the research needs of LIFT;
• Prioritize research requests;
• Support the LIFT business model by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and conduct required data analysis and reporting (e.g. conduct research and data analysis for organizational planning and business development);
• Identify, evaluate and select new resources and technology to help facilitate research requirements;
• Effectively communicate findings in both verbal and written formats, including report development and writing;
• Understand regulatory requirements for handling project data and investor related information;
• Develop programs, methodologies and files for analyzing and presenting data;
• Manage and, on occasion, troubleshoot organizational prospect database;
• Prepare various presentation materials and brief/debrief reports for internal and external review;
• Lead by example in establishing and driving organizational culture; consistently model the organizational values;
• Motivate, encourage and coach team members by offering learning opportunities related to position;
• Understand and administer the LIFT Contact Manager (LCM) database; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline;
• Four to five years of experience in a fundraising environment with demonstrated knowledge and experience in data analysis and decision support, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical software;
• Experience in participating in complex planning, analysis and creative thinking with respect to strategies for identifying prospects, fundraising and information retrieval and management;
• Must be intuitive, analytical and proactive in determining prospects for our investor, partnership and not-for-profit portfolios;
• Ability to understand external business trends affecting the total business operations;
• Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Comfortable working independently, with experience working in a team environment;
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a team-based, entrepreneurial and project driven organization;
• Ability to work in a changing environment, embrace new processes and look for ways to improve the status quo;
• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations and generate required steps to ensure success;
• Proven ability to develop and build strong business relationships, both internally and externally;
• Ability to listen, understand and respond to client needs; ability to build credibility and trust;
• Self-motivated and results-driven;
• Ability to identify, choose and promote ideas to add value;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Access;
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office Excel; and
• Experience with database application development, program sourcing, selection and implementation.
