Temporary Inventory Control Specialist (Richmond)

Point Grey Research® Inc. is looking for a motivated, energetic, and detail oriented person to fill a Temporary Inventory Control Specialist role in our Manufacturing Department. This is a 6-month full time contract with a possibility of extension.
General Duties and Tasks
• Inventory control in raw materials stock room:
- Put away inventory as it comes in daily
- Maintain cleanliness and organization
- Maintain ESD, RoHS and quality controls
• Pick & issue kits for production based on upcoming product demand
• Manage inventory levels:
- Report any discrepancies
- Requisition stock purchases on kanban items such as fasteners, shipping supplies and production supplies
- Help investigate inventory discrepancies
- Manage inventory sign out sheets and transactions
• Conduct regular inventory counts
• Receive kits post-production and reconcile inventory
• Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organized with a passion for detail
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel)
• Ability to learn new software with training
• A friendly, positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
• Experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment, and/or experience as a material handler or similar inventory control role is an asset
Compensation
• Hourly wage (commensurate with successful candidate's experience)
• Lunch is provided to all staff members (kitchen is stocked with groceries)
• Friendly work environment
