Information Technology Recruitment Specialist (Downtown Vancouver)

We are experiencing considerable growth and require a technical recruiter to assume an existing portfolio of Information Technology based recrutiment clients.
Key tasks of the Information Technology Recruitment Specialist:
Responsible for effective and fast recruitment processes for IT based professional services and software development companies and the IT backoffice process for local and National based companies
Responsible for providing current recruitment knowledge and trends within the information technology sector
Head hunting to access the passive candidate market
Active use of recruitment tools: job flow, hire systems and social media
Create job descriptions
Work closely with assigned business units to deliver recruitment needs
Suggest proper medias for approaching the right information technology candidates.
Supervise & interact closely with staffing coordinator in charge of assigned hires as well as continuous follow up with on-boarding
Job specification of recruitment specialist:
Bachelor Degree in IT, HR, marketing or a related field
2-5 years experience in recruitment or a related field with a proven track record of success
Hands on working experience as an IT professional is a definite asset for the role
Acquaintance with the local information technology employment market and community resources
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Network through industry contacts, association memberships and trade groups
