Tradesperson 2 (Automotive/Commercial/Transport - Heavy Duty Mechanic)

The Tradesman 2 position requires manual skilled trade tasks involving considerable physical effort and active performance in maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide variety of multiple fuel type vehicles and equipment.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks including operating vehicles and equipment into position for repair and overhaul, order materials as required, and inspect and troubleshoot equipment and vehicles to observe performance and determine cause of malfunction. You must also be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, plan and organize work projects, and establish effective working relationships with crew members and others.
You will have completed Grade 12 and Automotive and/or Commercial Transport and/or Heavy Duty Trades Qualification supplemented by experience and training as a qualified trades mechanic. A valid BC Driver's License with a safe driving history is also required, Class 3 with air brake endorsement.
