Paid Life & Work Skills Program (Langley Residents Only)

Pathfinder Youth Centre Society is currently looking for qualified applicants for a paid Working Together Program to be held in Maple Ridge.
Applicants in the tri-city area (Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam) or Langley area will be strongly considered. If you are a Surrey resident, please go to our website at:

The Working Together, Maple Ridge program will focus on life and employability skills via employment concepts, workplace etiquette, resume building, job search and job shadow as well as life skills topics ranging from self-esteem, self-management (time, money, nutrition) and public speaking. Multiple work place certifications such as Food Safe, Serving it Right, First Aid, World Host and various others will be offered in addition to community project experience. Must be committed to new ways of learning and work primarily in a classroom setting.
This is a paid 24 week program running from October 31 -- March 30, 2012.
Program hours are from 8:45 -2:45pm Monday to Friday with the possibility of occasional weekend hours required for industry certifications.
In order to apply you must be between the ages of 15 and 30, not currently attending school, legally entitled to work in Canada, not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) Benefits and facing employability barriers.
