We are looking for a Revenue Clerk to join a property management located within central Vancouver! Very transit accessible location. Experience in leasing or property management is required.
Reporting to the Director of Property Management, you are resposnible for providing financial and administrative clerical duties associated with the provisions of property management services in order to ensure that financial transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Duties:
- Ensuring timely collection of all rents (monht rents, percentage rent and percentage in lieu amounts)
- Maintaining up-to-date record of all negligent accounts
- Processing all tenant billings and rental notices
- Reviewing, verifying and accurately inputting a variety of information related to tenants’ A/R communication into Yardi
- Responding to A/R inquiries fron tenants
- Making daily collection calls and clearing any pending items (including credits) beyond 30 days past due
- Maintaining analysis of utility accounts and preparing timely billings to metered tenants
- Monitoring and preparing timely billings of any annual property tax billing that may be required
- Creating of invoice for any tenant chargebacks on a monthly basis
- Assisting Property Accountant and Property Manager, as required
- Rent deposits each month
- Posting of deposits into Yardi to each tenant account
- Preparing monthly aged A/R report for weekly meetings
- Maintaining tenant files and computer records (A/R correspondence)
- Following corporate policies in handling all A/R transactions
- Preparing write-off requests for any arrears fro all pertinent parties to sign
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing and filing of A/P
Skills & Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in business related field
- Minimum 2-3 years in an administrative position, ideally in property management
- Minimum of 1-2 years working in an A/R and reconciliation capacity
- Intermediate computer skills using MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Yardi Yoyageur would be an asset
- Good understanding of accounting principles, leases and related documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented; accuracy is imperative
- Strong communication ability and customer service skills
The salary is within $40,000 – $45,000 per year based on skills and experience.
