Full Time Caretaker/Building Manager (New Westminster)

We are currently seeking an experienced Caretaker/Building Manager to manage our 80+ investor rental units located throughout the Greater Vancouver area and provide weekend/vacation relief at our 130 unit high end rental property in the renowned Port Royal community of Queensborough, New Westminster.
This position does not require the candidate to live onsite and does not inlcude accomodations.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Caretaker/Building Manager facilitates the efficient operation of the rental units, ensures proper in suite maintenance and serves as a liaison between the Property Manager, Trades, Municipal Officials and the Tenants. In addition, the Caretaker is the primary contact person and resource for all parties.
SCOPE
Reporting to the Property Manager, the Caretaker is responsible for rental procedures, showing available units to prospective tenants, conducting suite move-in and move-out procedures, supervising trades and generally is responsible for the enforcement of the Residential Tenancy Act, the Residential Tenancy Agreements, and Rules and Regulations of the rental units. The Caretaker will ensure that all operations are conducted in a respectful and responsible way, ensuring that all decisions and actions comply with the relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The Caretaker responsibilities also include but not limited to advertising, acquiring applications for potential tenants, applying established criteria for tenant qualification, renting apartments, cleaning duties, coordinating repairs/maintenance, investigating and resolving tenant complaints and issues, preparing and issuing necessary notices or reports, operational assistance during emergency situations and providing overall supervision of the rental units.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must have excellent marketing, written and verbal proficiency in English is well-mannered with a positive attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills. A good working knowledge of a Windows based computer system, Microsoft Office and a strong background in marketing of rental suites is also required. The candidate must have good time management skills, be independent, highly organized and self-motivated.
- Previous rental management experience
- Demonstrated history of outstanding customer relations skills
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
- Sound organizational skills with the ability to multi task
- Must have own vehicle and valid BC driver's license
