Sr. Corporate Commercial/Real Estate LAA/Para (Hybrid) (Vancouver)

We are assisting a boutique commercial law firm in recruiting a Sr. Corporate Commercial/Real Estate LAA, to work in a Hybrid LAA role. The work is for one partner.
The partner's practice is based on acquisitions and dispositions of hotels and shopping centres; land assemblies; complex subdivisions, construction and mezzanine financing; and shopping centre expansions.
Typical duties include:
Reviewing and updating outlook and paper calendars and advising of potential conflicts.
Reviewing and entering time; making notes of missing time for review, then entering additional time;
Scheduling;
Dealing with client phone calls and emails for scheduling meetings, phone calls etc., requests for copies of documents, accounting enquiries, corporate records information, conveyancing/financing matters;
Opening files
Filing -- both email archiving and paper; organizing complex files;
Running files for lawyer i.e. organizing, keeping track of outstanding items and coordinating follow-up;
Drafting correspondence, documents, resolutions, Bills, transaction lists and preparing closing books.
Conducting BC online searches -- companies, societies, firms, LTO, PPSA, BC Assessment, Wills;
Industry Canada searches - Corporations
BC Online registrations -- companies, PPSA, Wills;
Liaising with registry and other agents regarding searches, registrations.
Dicta typing and copy typing.
Making travel arrangements
Setting up and maintaining contact lists, coordinating marketing mail-outs, coordinating client gifts
File closing and issues arising therefrom (mystery files, matters arising during file clean-up in preparation for file closing).
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of related LAA experience in a law firm.
