The senior partners each have more than 20 years of legal experience; two of them have been named Queen's Counsel. We also have intermediate- and junior-level lawyers and excellent support staff. We are currently seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our busy firm
Standard Responsibilities:
? Managing trial/court calendar and BF systems;
? Scheduling trial & court matters
? Drafting correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents.
? Interact with clients by phone and in person.
? File management including organizing and managing documents.
? Other general administrative and secretarial support services as required.
Qualifications:
? Minimum 5 years of experience in family law, with preferred given
to applicants with training as paralegal
? Must have experience and knowledge of the Supreme Court Family Rules
? Detail oriented -- excellent spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills.
? Self-starter who enjoys taking initiatives.
? Able to work independently and as part of a team.
? Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
? Ability to work under pressure
? Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program.
