The locally owned company is a major provider of high end Internet and Intranet development, Windows and database programming services. It has been featured in Business in Vancouver, The Vancouver Sun and many trade papers. www.synergycc.com Our firm is looking for an intermediate to senior Internet Programmer experienced in internet development (using PHP, ASP, .NET, Java, SQL), in a Windows and Linux environment. Part time and/or contract - flexible hours.
Summary of Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Database development and other programming tasks, primarily in an Internet environment.
- System analyst and designer for various programming projects.
- Project management and estimating of time required for projects to ensure that the project meets client requirements and expectations, and projects are completed within the allocated time.
- Perform software testing to ensure that projects are of high quality.
- Provide client support to ensure that their needs are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with program users to identify and implement program enhancements.
- Produce user and technical documentation.
- Keep current with areas of expertise within Synergy and the computer industry in general. Keep up with those new technologies which will assist Synergy in improving services.
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Internet database and applications development, ideally with experience in PHP, ASP, .NET, PHP, SQL server and/or other Internet development environments.
- Strong programming, system analysis, and program design experience.
- Strong structured and object oriented programming concepts. Thorough testing skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
