The Marketing & Communications Section has a unique opportunity for a part time Graphic Designer. Individuals must be interested in applying their varied experience promoting the City's programs and services.
In this position you will work with a team on a number of projects including the compilation of layout, design and production of a wide variety of marketing materials (including brochures, ad displays, maps, presentation materials, web editing, flyers, invitations, posters, pamphlets, proposal packages, annual reports, sponsorship materials, and signage). This position is best suited for a detail-oriented team player with strong typography, design and communication skills.
You possess a post secondary education from a recognized graphic design institute and have 2-3 years of graphic design experience. Applicants should possess intermediate PC based computer skills, including: In Design, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop (including knowledge of scanning for various file formats). A strong working knowledge of file preparation for output (prepress) is required. Experience with web design is an asset.
