As a Finance Business Manager, you will perform complex professional accounting, treasury functions, software systems administrative support, business analysis, business process review and/or business unit reporting needs in a highly computerized environment with access to confidential and restricted information. You will also be responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of monthly/quarterly/annual financial information, and for recognizing and solving complex problems. In addition, you will be responsible for initial or remedial training of employees, along with employee performance and productivity measures and re-engineering business processes and updating financial policies to reflect best practices and effective financial controls. You will direct and supervise professional and clerical staff including performance evaluation

The successful candidate will make ongoing recommendations for operational improvements and efficiencies in all areas of City operations, assist with the selection, design, testing, implementation, evaluation, and re-engineering of policies/procedures/systems and monitor processing deadlines and the accuracy of data input by employees throughout the City.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills, ability, knowledge and experience necessary to perform duties of this complexity. In addition, you must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience and a Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA).
