Admin/Placement Assistant (Downtown Vancouver)

Company: International Nannies and Homecare Ltd.
Busy nanny placement agency in downtown Vancouver is looking for a full time entry level Admin / Placement Assistant to begin as soon as possible. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am -- 4:30pm.
Located at the Head Office, assisting with general administration and handling incoming calls, the successful applicant will be a pro-active team member, able to prioritise their workload and complete tasks without needing to be prompted.
Duties:
• Reception
• Handling incoming and outgoing paperwork; faxes, emails, mail
• Maintain filing systems
• Database entry
• Monitoring multiple email accounts
• Preparing foreign worker related applications
• Correspondence / letter writing skills
• Various project assignments as required
• General office support
Skills and qualifications:
• Fluent English
• Excellent customer service - friendly and professional telephone manner
• Able to use Microsoft Office, Outlook and Gmail proficiently
• Extremely organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to type 40 wpm and up
• Ability to problem solve
• Capable of maintaining an appropriate knowledge base
• Multitasking and prioritizing, time management
Preference will be given to the following:
• Previous office based experience is mandatory
• Previous experience in the childcare industry is an asset
• Excellent references
We are looking for someone long term and who can grow with the company to become a Local Placement Coordinator. Extra $$$ can be made from commissions with each placement, in addition to the hourly wage.
Hourly wage to be negotiated based on previous work experience
