JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Buyer Support
POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Senior Merchandiser
NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS:
LOCATION: Sterling Head Office
FULL TIME/PART TIME OR CONTRACT: Full Time
OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for all purchase order and administrative functions supporting the Banner. It supports the retail team by ensuring that all purchase orders, payments and report generation are executed in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately execute purchase order confirmations and amendments.
• Follow up on purchase order deliveries to ensure delivery dates are being met for both domestic and international orders.
• Accurately prepare payment requests and ensure all relevant documentation, merchandise and samples have been approved and/or received
• Ensure vendor reports are executed and sent in a timely manner.
• Produce weekly reports
• Create ad - hoc reporting as needed to help drive business decisions.
• Trouble -shoot and resolve purchase order issues in a timely manner with DC, Buying Team and IT.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate effective with different levels of the business via phone, written and in-person communication
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize handle multiple projects and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills to include Excel (Pivot tables, V look up etc.), Email and other relevant Retail
applications.
• Ability to collaborate in team environment.
• Self starter with initiative
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors or an associate degree or equivalent certification.
• 1-2 years experience in retail and/or office environment preferred
