The individual we seek will work with the shop and Tech Foreman to increase efficiencies and reduce costs for preparation of jobs and to ensure all jobs are on schedule & within budget. Other responsibilities may include communicating with customers on retail, rental & fleet equipment; co-ordination of shop jobs ensuring parts are required, available and adequate before repairs commence; backup for Tech Foreman; opening work orders for mechanics; coordinating job estimates; implementing and enforcing safety requirements & assisting in dispatching the Field Mechanics.
The successful candidate will have a Journeyperson Mechanical Certification, a post-secondary education in Operations Management or equivalent, possess excellent communication and analytical skills and must be able to cope with conflicting priorities. This individual must be extremely well organized, able to multitask and to lead & control the course of a project from inception to completion. Excellent PC skills are required with experience using all aspects of Microsoft Office. Previous Service or Product Support experience would be considered assets. Starting salary will be based on skills and experience.
