Computer Technician/Retail Sales - Altitude Computers (Whistler, BC)

We are looking for a full-time computer technician with a minimum of two years related experience.
You will be a member of Technical Support team responsible for the diagnosis and testing of computer systems, components and assisting customers with a variety of computer concerns.
Responsibilities
General retail store duties - cashiering, customer service, sales and service
Attend to customer concerns and questions in a retail store environment
Provide technical service, instore and onsite, dealing with a range of computer problems including:
virus & spy ware removal, data/application and operating system overhaul and recovery, internet & email difficulties and diagnosis & replace of defective hardware components.
Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of most hardware or software malfunctions at all levels.
Perform complex hardware and/or software upgrades to existing equipment.
Perform network connections for desktops, servers, hub/switches, cabling, etc.
Perform complex moves, adds, changes of computer equipment including server and network equipment.
Technical Skills
Must have a solid understanding and experience working with Windows OS as well as Windows Server OS
A+ Certification and MCSE or greater is an asset
Desktop Applications (Office, Email, Virus & Spyware removal tools, etc.)
Wireless connectivity, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS understanding
1-2 years of related job experience
Must have a valid driver’s license
Personal Skills
MUST have EXCELLENT verbal and written English communication skills
Demonstrate good time management skills
Ability to diffuse tense customer situations and project a professional and confident outlook
High level of integrity and honesty
Ability to take direction and follow practices and procedures consistently and accurately
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
