Founded in 1997, NetSurf Media is a full service Internet marketing and e-commerce solutions provider that employs over 350 staff worldwide in offices situated in Vancouver, Costa Rica, India, United Kingdom and Argentina.
We are looking for a PHP Developer to join our existing team of developers. A PHP developer is responsible for the layout, design and coding for several of our websites.
What you'll do:
• Plan, research, develop logic, code, test and deploy several Web projects with minimal assistance
• Build PHP websites or applications from the ground up and modify and build on existing code
What you'll need:
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a production environment coding/developing websites and applications in PHP
• Experience with MVC frameworks (Codeigniter preferred, but others will be considered)
• Expert knowledge working with large relational My SQL databases and complex structures
• Experience with object oriented programming is essential
• Good web server knowledge and a good understanding of communication technologies such as TCP/IP, Proxies, FTP, Shell etc.
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, LAMP is also a plus
• Advanced HTML, CSS and cross browser compliance skills are a nice plus, but not necessary
• Highly organized, self-motivated person with a "can-do" attitude, capable of working in fast pace entrepreneurial work environment and flexible work hours
• Strong inter-personal and English communication skills with the ability to solve complex problems
