Position Profile:
The Sales Coordinator plays an important role in helping the company to achieve its goals for continued growth and leadership by assisting the sales rep in the further development of a given geographical market for our icemelting and absorbent products.
Educational Requirements:
• Some post secondary education (degree preferred)
• Some professional development training
Experience & Skill Requirements:
• 2 -- 4 years sales experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent command of the English language. Ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Strong computer skills, (thorough knowledge of all OFFICE products a must)
• Ability to touch type - (speed will be tested)
• Extremely well organized and structured work habits
• Ability to function in an organized yet unstructured environment. Must work well independently, as well as part of a team
• Ability to see the "big picture", take initiative and be a good forward thinker
• Ability to multitask and effectively deal with issues
Responsibilities:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work with our Current Outside Sales Agents/Reps
- Communicate with sales agents/reps on a regular basis,
- Team up with sales agent/rep in securing new prospects and new customer development,
- Facilitate agent/rep needs and requirements,
- Participate in the production of Bi-Monthly Rep Updates,
- Report on sales rep's performance and effectiveness
Attend Weekly Marketing Team Meetings
- Assist in the strategizing of product market penetration
- Assist in the creation, design and implementation of various promotion ideas
- Analyze promotional ideas effectiveness and market impact
- Assist in issuing press releases and preparation of media kits
- Participate in production of Quarterly Newsletters
Assist in Web-based training
- Assist in the organization and preparation of our web-based training programs,
- Carry out live training via the web, to our Sales Agents / Reps,
- Carry out live training via the web, to our Distributors' sales people
- Follow-up from the training efforts
Assist in Co-ordinating of Trade Shows
- Assist in the organization and preparation of our trade show marketing plans
- Assist in the implementation of those trade show marketing plans
- Within the Marketing Team, design the trade show floor plan layouts
- Assist in the designing, creating and production of trade show handout materials
- Assist in the follow-up of the trade show prospect attendance
Follow-up with Active Prospects
- Assist in phoning active prospects within geographic territory to follow-up on marketing efforts
- Track active prospect responses to marketing initiatives via prospect database
Assist in Regular Marketplace review and Analysis
- Through sales rep, prospect and customer contact, conduct surveys to get a better understanding of market conditions and "hot" issues.
- Compilation of surveys for presentation at Weekly Marketing Team Meetings
- Assist in developing initiatives to embrace the changing marketplace
Assist in Competitor Research and Tracking
- Assist in the gathering of information on our competitors,
- Assist in the development of "Selling Against It" strategies,
- Input information into our competitor database
- Provide information when necessary to sales reps
Assist in General Customer Service
- Assist in providing customers with price lists, marketing materials, and samples
- Provide customers with sales solutions for their DSR's (Distributor Sales Reps)
- Assist customers with pre-season early bookings
- Help existing customers with their general sales needs
Assist in entering Customer Orders in ERP system
- Assist in entering the customer's booking or regular order into our system,
- Ensuring the data supplied is correct and that our CRM database is correct
