Maintenance Manager (Burnaby)

A leading food manufacturer requires a Maintenance Manager for their Burnaby location. The organization has four facilities in Canada and two in United State continuing to grow both organically and through acquisition.
Reporting to Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager leads maintenance and continuous improvement activities of plant equipments and buildings.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, lead and coach employees through effective training and communication
• Develop CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Recommend Budget plans; prepare/execute plant capital budget
• Motivate employees to high performance through reinforcement and recognition
• Develop productivity, safety, and process improvement opportunities
• Manage various contracted services (refrigeration, electrical, construction)
• Ensure compliance with plant environmental regulations, and departmental and plant safety relating to equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
• Professional Engineer, Engineering Degree/Diploma and/or relevant Trades designation
• Preference will be given to candidates with a post secondary education
• Competence in PLC for troubleshooting and programming change would be an asset
• Experience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP, FDA, GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), BRC (British Retail Consortium) and Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement
• Experience with Form Fill Seal and Stand Up Pouch filling machines.
• Proven progressive management and leadership skills
• Ability to develop, foster, and work within, a team environment.
• Experience in working with operational budgets.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Autocad and Visio an asset.
