POSITION: Assistant Team Leader
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION: Burnaby Business Unit
SHIFT: Day Shift

DUTIES / RESPONSIBLITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Team Leader in scheduling and coordinating assembly process to ensure monthly delivery schedules are met
• Assist in improving efficiency and quality of assembly processes
• Verify and monitor all process parameters to production procedures are met
• Help train new team members
• Assist in evaluation of team performance
• Accountable for daily deliverables to customers. You need to have the initiative to identify and solve root causes, process issues, etc.
• Proactive in resolving daily flow issues
• Proactive feedback for QA, flow, parts, line staffing
• Team building in dynamic fast moving environment
• May require to work flexible hours (overtime and weekends)
• May require physical lifting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years in electronic assembly (especially in mechanical assembly) or equivalent experience
• Previous supervisory or lead hand experience is preferred
• Solid understanding and application of industry technical standards and ISO 9000 Quality System procedures
• Experienced in the use of computer applications: Outlook, MS Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel). Experience in using ERP systems would be an asset.
• Possess strong leadership, communication, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal skills are essential; experience in training others is an asset
• Good hand soldering, inspection and rework capabilities; knowledge of IPC A-610 is essential
• Good verbal and written communication skills
