Job Placement Consultant- Term Position September 1, 2011 to January 20, 2011 35 hours per week
FutureWorks is seeking an individual with a career management background combined with marketing and sales skills. Applicants must have experience in placing individuals in co-op or wage funded positions, and must be able to analyze and assess jobseekers and employers to ensure quality matches. The Job Placement Consultant must be organized and motivated by meeting monthly targets, and have an understanding and commitment to working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Applicants must have a strong interest in the science and technology field.
The successful candidate is:
? knowledgeable about the career management industry and placing individuals in positions with employers;
? able to advocate on behalf of the jobseekers with employers;
? interested in working with employers in new and emerging industries specifically in the science and technology industry in B.C.;
? well connected to hiring employers, growing companies and industry organizations;
? competent in marketing with the ability to present FutureWorks services to new contacts over the phone;
? able to multi-task and manage your own workflow, including administrative tasks.
Definite assets include:
? knowledge of networking with local online communities;
? creative ideas to attract local employers to use FutureWorks' services.
Qualifications required:
? Experience in related fields including marketing, science and technology, human resources, or communications;
? Strong knowledge of the British Columbia labour market, specifically in the science and technology fields;
? Passionate about human resource issues related to growing science and technology companies;
? University or college education in one or more of the following fields: marketing, communications, or human resources;
? Minimum of three years experience.
