3D Animator
Location: Vancouver

A Vancouver based post-production house with over 23 years of industry experience in providing high-end service for TV, feature films, documentaries, and commercials, is looking for a 3D Character Animator for upcoming sifi creature movie.

Job responsibilities
• Create major character key frame photo realistic animation
• Work closely with other animators, and the design and art teams on all aspects of the production
• Deliver animations at the proper timings, lengths that meet other technical needs.
• Work with technical artists to improve the rigs and tools used by the animation team.
• Work efficiently to ensure cost-effective, timely production
• Work with the production team and artistic director
• Animation of creatures


Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in creation of character animation
• Experience in creature animation is a must
• Ability to make high-poly meshes and high-resolution texture
• Perfect understanding of topologies associated to production constraints
• Experience with Motion Builder an asset
• Open-minded and outward-looking
• Organized and efficient
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
• Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude



Pluses:
• Experience in FX and particle animation
• Rigging and Skinning, ability to do complex rigs
• Knowledge of Maya and/or 3D max is a plus
