Implementation Engineer (Vancouver, downtown)

Strangeloop Networks is looking for a motivated, experienced Implementation Engineer to act as the main point of technical contact between our customers and our internal sales and operations departments for all pre-sales and implementation activities. The Implementation Engineer is expected to have complete product knowledge and technical sales ability.
The Implementation Engineer is responsible for product demonstrations, technical presentations, evaluation of benefits, remote and on-site product installation, implementation, training, and coordination with post-sales services, culminating with hand-off to our support organization. Your passion, drive, enthusiasm and focus on customer success will distinguish you as a strong candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the Implementation Engineer for assigned customers.
Troubleshoot complex customer networks and implementation challenges.
Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
Occasionally travel to customer sites for installation and customization.
Occasionally provide post-sales support and coordinate support with the support organization.
Provide remote and occasionally on-site training to customers about use and administration of Strangeloop products.
Document future product needs and work with Product Management to facilitate enhancements if needed.
Review, testing and creation of content for Strangeloop technical knowledgebase.
Creation of customer deployment reference documents.
Direct interaction with Product Development group on behalf of all external organizations and customers.
Ensure superior customer management through consistent updates, responsive follow-through, and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of client interaction and technical implementation experience with the ability to rapidly generate client trust and confidence.
Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience with Load Balancing, WAN optimization and network devices (routers, switches, etc.).
Strong understanding of network infrastructure concepts (TCP/HTTP protocols), network devices (firewalls, proxy servers, caches, etc).
Strong understanding of http protocol and html and web technologies.
Ability to handle technical issues of any degree of complexity with no need for supervision or assistance.
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.
Ability to build and manage customer relationships including diffuse complicated technical and political situations with enterprise customers.
Software training experience of technical users.
Travel required (mainly to US).
