Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of complex applications in a collaborative environment. The Senior Software Engineer will design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. This includes configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle.
Responsibilities
• Writing, documenting and debugging code for new features
• Championing new techniques for program architecture, tools and best practices
• Researching and recommending new technologies for future product enhancements
• Participate in the analysis, design and development of applications
• Writing technical documentation and design specifications
• Determine integration architecture solutions and determine the integration approach
• Take responsibility and ownership for the quality of all deliverables
• Collaborate with the entire development team for effective and timely delivery of all projects
• Mentoring junior developers
Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years developing .NET enterprise applications in C#
• Excellent problem-solving, coding and design skills
• In depth knowledge of SOA, Web service and WCF service.
• Expertise with B2B Enterprise Application Integration
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Knowledge of current development methodologies including n-tier application development
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming Principles and Design Patterns
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Ability to make technical decisions based on what is best for the business
• Committed to continuous self-improvement
Desired
• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and SharePoint
• Experience with SaaS and/or Web application development using ASP.NET
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing, Windows Azure and SQL Azure
Education
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Microsoft Certification will be an asset but not required
