maxIT Healthcare is seeking a Report Writer for a term project with the Provincial Health Services Authority. We are seeking a FTE for this role that will continue on with MaxIT after the completion of this initial engagement.

The successful candidate will be involved in the development of reports based on provincial occupational health data. They will join a project team working with Database Analysts, developers and business analysts to ensure the customer’s requirements are fulfilled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use Visual Studio 2008 to create SQL Reporting Services reports to be integrated into a provincial reporting environment
• Provide expertise in data extraction by optimizing the report’s speed, and accuracy.
• Use Transact SQL to construct complex enterprise level data queries for use by report writing utilities.
• Use SQL Reporting Services to generate analytical reports with drill down abilities to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Work with the Manager of Software Products and Services, and the WHITE.Net business analyst to identify new reports, generate reporting documentation, and optimize existing reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Computer science degree or equivalent industry related experience.
• Educational background in Relational Database design, OLTP data structures, and OLAP databases.
• Educational background in programming with having completed courses in both procedural and object oriented programming.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Visual Studio 2008 and C# language
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SQL Reporting Services
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of HTML and Javascript

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft’s .Net Technology
