Currently we are recruiting for a Trading Post Retail Sales Manager

The Trading Post Retail Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing sales and ensuring the effective operation of our Trading Post store activities. The Retail Sales Manager provides sales leadership to the retail team members and ensures the company’s vision and brand are represented through both amazing guest experiences and a strong maintained merchandised store. The planning and development of a committed and well trained sales team is top priority for the Retail Sales Manager. This is a hands on position working side by side with the sales team on the selling floor.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of progressive retail management experience,
• Experience analyzing financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly results statements),
• Strong operational skills in a fast paced guest-service environment,
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization,
• Expert knowledge of retail procedures, sales techniques, shipping & receiving procedures,
• Experience with retail POS system (Retail STAR – Cam Commerce, an asset)

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Capilano Suspension Bridge, Vancouver’s oldest tourist attraction, originally built in 1889, stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. Since then much has been added to the twenty-seven acre park. Of the many things to do, CLIFFWALK is the park’s newest attraction – a 700 ft cantilevered walkway dangling 300 feet above the Capilano Canyon. We also feature Treetops Adventure – seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you up to 100 feet (30m) above the forest floor.
