We are currently looking for a casual Cook to join our team in a care facility in Vancouver. This position has the potential to become a full-time position in the future. The person in this role will be responsible for preparing all components of the meal, following recipes and menu, ensuring overall quality and presentation of food is appealing, sanitizing all work surfaces and equipment used, and maintaining an overall safe environment at all times.
Qualifications:
• BC Food Safe certification Level 1 & 2
• Red Seal or cook training certification preferred
• Previous experience in healthcare an asset
• Previous experience as a cook
• Able to work morning and evening / weekend and weekday shifts
• Attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in a group and independently
Candidate will be asked to agree to a Criminal Record Check and TB test.
