Manager Human Resource - Saint Elizabeth
We have an exciting opportunity in our Vancouver office, and invite qualified candidates to apply for the position of Manager, Human Resources.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of the management team the position is responsible for providing human resources leadership and support at our Vancouver Home Support Operation. This is a unionized environment employing 600+ staff. You will bring your broad knowledge of all aspects of human resource management and be able to work effectively with all levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support the business direction by providing sound HR leadership coaching, advice, and support to the local leadership team on all people related matters.
• Identify any patterns or trends in the issues presented, and develop and present potential solutions for resolution.
• Work with the leadership team on any new initiatives and manage the change process.
• Act as key point of contact on all labour relations matters.
• Liaise with the Toronto Human Resources department on national HR projects, programs, and priorities, and collaborate on managing common processes such as attendance management.
• Recruit and orient new staff.
• Look for continuous improvement opportunities for process flows between Vancouver and Toronto.
• Conduct exit interviews and track trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• University Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related program
• Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience in a HR generalist capacity.
• Strong labour relations experience, including experience handling and responding to grievances.
• Proven change management and process improvement experience.
• Capable of building relationships at all levels in the organization.
• Strong internal customer service and responsiveness orientation.
• Experience in a non-profit organization an asset
