Position: Sproutcore Developer
Location: Vancouver
Position Overview:
Appnovation is seeking a Sproutcore Lead Developer who will be responsible for working closely with our engineering team to implement a fully AJAX/HTML5 driven application using the Sproutcore framework. This position requires the ability to work both independently and act a part of the team mentoring junior and intermediate developers as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work on SproutCore's next-generation UI Framework
• Implement a JavaScript-based layout framework
• Implement theme able JavaScript components
• Create abstractions that make sense on different devices and browsers
• Supervise and mentor intermediate and junior developers
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of web development experience, with at least 5 years of project leadership experience
• 2-3 years applicable work experience with Sproutcore
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience developing APIs
• Ability to communicate with Designers
• Experience with the constraints of mobile platforms
• Experience with building rich visual experiences
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and libraries
• Experience with Object-Oriented programming and MVC Architecture
• Experience with HTML5, CSS
• Strong familiarity with JS libraries such as JQuery, NodeJS
Assets:
• Experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Experience writing clear documentation
• Experience building apps that run on multiple form factors and devices
• Experience building large-scale apps with significant logic in the client
