Healthism is seeking an experienced web programmer (3+ year experience) to join our versatile and creative development team based out of Vancouver. This position requires you to work in our office which is located at East Hastings and Nanaimo St.
Healthism is a dynamic startup immersed in the process of developing a web application that will revolutionize the way that preventive medicine and wellness is delivered across North America. We're extremely motivated to build and launch our first release as soon as possible and therefore we're expanding our team with positions open for part-time, full-time and contract work.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, innovative and able to "hit the ground running" with strong skills, self-motivation and a sense of professionalism. We provide a fun and productive working environment for our team which are all young hackers like yourself!
You'll fit in with us if you're:
- experienced and have the portfolio to back it
- obsessed with on-time delivery
- opinionated but not stubborn
- someone who works well with others
And of course, the technical requirements:
- strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery
- appreciation of user interface design concepts
- appreciation of agile programming principles
- self-motivated, flexible and solution-oriented
-- BIG PLUS: mobile development experience (PhoneGap experience preferred), knowledge of Ruby on Rails and MySQL
