Graphics/Web Designer (Vancouver)

We are a restaurant and nightlife complex searching for a print and web graphic designer. We are seeking one individual or a small team that can be responsible for ensuring that our brand and image identity are carried through all of our advertising and promotional material.
Responsibilities include
- designing an innovative website that can be easily updated by our administrative staff
- the creation of web and print advertisements, both for core branding and special events
- print and online menus
- all corporate materials i.e. business cards, envelopes, letterheads etc.
- outdoor advertising materials
- establishing or maintaining relationship(s) with printing firms to produce promotional materials
Position requirements
1. Location: You must be located in the Lower Mainland (Vancouver and surrounding areas) as coordination meetings will take place in-person (see below).

3. Composition: You have excellent photographic composition.
4. Age: You are over 21 years of age (nightclub related work plus requisite experience).
5. You have at least 2 years of print and web design experience.
6. Availability: you are able to attend coordination and forward planning meetings once per week that will run approximately 2 hours. You will also be prepared to take on an agreed upon workload on a monthly basis determined on the level of work anticipated. You will also be able to accommodate some last minute flexibility should the need arise. Once the initial product suite is completed, approximately 20 hours of work can be anticipated per month.
7. You have all of your own hardware and software required for all of the tasks indicated above.

We will give you honest feedback when things are done well and when you need to go back and revise your work. I aim to give you all the details of the project before you start, along with a vision of what the final product should look like.
You will have intimate knowledge of the overall brand and image management strategy from the outset. This will guide all of your work. I am also flexible enough to know that from time to time you will develop something that is outside what we discussed in our brainstorming/coordination session and will give you the creative freedom to be innovative.
Compensation
