The System & Software Support Analyst is responsible for the timely and effective resolution to GFS systems, hardware, and software issues. This will be accomplished by performing investigative diagnoses and remediation, or recruiting the necessary staff, vendors, etc in order to accomplish a given task.

Responsibilities include providing 2nd level and above support for corporate systems, hardware, and software and 2nd level and above support to GFS system users, customers & vendors, facilitating the timely and accurate resolution of technical issues, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction standards, working with various management levels, maintenance and upgrades for 3rd party software and working with Vendors to drive product functionality forward, and keep costs low .

Ideal candidates must have 4+ years of experience with IBM mid-range systems (AS/400, iSeries, i5), iSeries system programming experience an asset, 4+ years providing technical customer support to users, customers, & vendors, 2+ years of support-related experience with Windows operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows-7, Server) and technical knowledge in the configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Server, XP, Vista, Windows-7, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Terminal Services environments. EDI experience an asset. Must be available for on-call support, in rotation with other staff (one week per rotation)
