We're looking for a senior web programmer with extensive web application development experience to help us build from scratch the systems that will manage our business. Your contributions will be critical to our success.
Must haves:
- experience building enterprise grade, scalable web applications
- demonstrated ability to craft useable, interactive web interfaces (utilizing AJAX)
- 5+ years experience with PHP (including object oriented programming with PHP5)
- good knowledge of SQL and relational database principles
- excellent communication skills
- strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills
Nice to haves:
- experience using the "Symfony" PHP framework (ideally utilizing forms)
- experience with object relational mapping tools (ideally Propel)
- extensive experience with the jQuery Javascript library.
- prior experience within the insurance or financial services sectors
- experience with all elements of the LAMP stack
- experience working with payment gateway services (ideally Beanstream)
- experience working on multi-developer teams utilizing a revision control system (ideally subversion)
- graphic/web design expertise (including knowledge of XHTML, and CSS)
