About the Opportunity
Due to the exceptional growth of the business, IMW Industries is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join their dynamic team in Chilliwack.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the primary responsibility of this role is to revise, and create instruction and service manuals for IMW Products.
More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Interacting with service, sales, and production departments to create user and service manuals that will be used in the field;
• Revising existing documents as well as the creation of documents for new products in development;
• Being responsible for the overall look and feel of instruction/service manuals;
• Conveying technical concepts in a clear and concise way understandable to ESL audiences.
IMW is seeking an applicant who has an Engineering Degree, Technologist Diploma, or Bachelor of Arts with a comprehensive technical background. You will have over three years technical writing experience. We are looking for an individual who has proven experience writing technical equipment manuals.
Importantly, you will have extremely strong written and oral communication skills, energy and enthusiasm for creating and improving business documents. For this role will need to be self motivated and adaptable, with high initiative and excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills, along with the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. Our ideal candidate will have a very high standard of written English, including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
