C# / .NET Programmer (Vancouver)

In ten years, Clearly Contacts has grown from a one person start up to a TSX listed (symbol: COA), world leading on-line distributor of glasses and contact lenses operating from distribution hubs in Canada, Europe and Australia. With well over 100 million vision care products delivered to date, we have built up a significant customer base.
We are looking for a C#/.NET Programmer to assist with building out new functionalities to enhance and scale an existing Back office solution.
The candidate must have a solid background in object-oriented programming concepts, strong MS SQL knowledge and familiarity with the software development lifecycle. Flexibility, effective time management and self-discipline required in order to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working closely with the Back office Team and the developers for existing enterprise systems
• Assist with establishing integration and migrating data into new and existing systems
• Import, manipulate and configure data on a MS SQL Server database
• Assist with creating, manipulating, and building reporting tools
You Offer Us:
• At least 3 years of experience with C#
• At least 3 years of experience MS SQL, writing stored procedures and complex queries
• At least 3 years of experience in systems integration or building interfaces for messaging between two systems with throughput and reliability
• Hands-on experience with the Agile Development Methodology
• Knowledgeable in product retail and E-commerce software.
• Understanding of ERP Systems
• Experienced with WCF services
• Understanding of XML and Web Services provision and consumption
• Experienced with Client/Server architecture
• Strong problem solving, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail, and with or without supervision
• Ability to translate business requirements to efficient code
• Must have experience with development lifecycle
• Positive, outgoing, optimistic personality
• An artistic eye for creating clean reports and graphs
• Experience with the following is considered an asset:
o Microsoft Dynamics AX or Axapta
o SQL Reporting Services and/or Reporting tools
o SharePoint Portal development
o Working with source control systems like Visual Source Safe / Sub-Version
o VBA/ VB/ VB.Net
o CSS, JQuery, AJAX and JavaScript
o Experience with Linq and .net 4.0
