Dispatcher (Richmond)

Growing P&D airport company looking for experieced dispatcher.
Must be well organized with good communication, verbal skills as well neat writing.
Able to dispatch 20 trucks plus; 1 to 5 ton trucks.
Must be able available to answer afterhour calls.
The ability to work within a fast paced, team oriented enviroment, at times stressful, high pressure enviroment.
Must be bondable as we are a Canada Customs Warehouse and Carrier.
Quick decision maker, analytical and logical thinker.
Preference will be given to candidate with computer skills and knowledge of Canada Customs regulations.
A team player with ability to effectively communicate with personnel, co-workers and customers in a professional manner.
Must be familiar with National Safety Code, Canada Labour Code, Canada Customs Regulations and Work Safe.
Previous expierence in the transportation industrya must.
Have the ability to perform sales, both by telephone and in direct contact.
• Maintaining the excellent customer skills
• File, scan and retrieve documents, records, and reports.
• Create and disburse reports.
• Greet clients and be helpful in away possible.
• Perform general office duties such as filing,ordering supplies,
• Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration.
• Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using MS Office.
• Prepare FedEx, Purolator and other carriers packages for some customers.
• Company coorrespondence-send
• Additional Projects and Duties as required.

• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Inspires respect and trust and reacts well under pressure.
• Planning and Organization: Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and integrates changes smoothly
• Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction and commits to doing the best job possible.

• Able to be flexible, handle changing duties and tasks, ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Multi-tasker, willing to learn
