GlobalNet-Work is one of the leading Managed IT Service providers in the Lower Mainland. In our role as an outsourced IT Department, we provide our clients with a range of services from backup solutions, proactive maintenance, server virtualization and VCIO consultancy. We are currently looking for a Full Time Junior to Intermediate I.T. support technician to diagnose and resolve computing and networking related issues and to assist in planning, testing, configuration, and implementation of infrastructure projects.
Key areas of responsibility:
• Provide excellent customer service to technical support requests
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, peripherals, or network hardware
• Install new software on users computers in compliance with IT Policy
• Authoring training manuals / FAQs
• Evaluation of company hardware and software
• Installing and setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems
• Recording problems and their solutions for future reference
• Training end users on new systems or software applications
Must have. . .
• Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 support incl. software installation, configuration & troubleshooting
• Windows 2003 and 2008 Server installation, management and trouble shooting
• Microsoft Office installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Firewall maintenance and log review
• Excellent customer service
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
• Strong communication skills
