Horse-drawn carriage tour guide - Stanley Park Horse-Drawn Tours (Stanley Park, Vancouver)

Seeking: Motivated, hard working people who love working with horses and helping people.
Terms of Employment: Seasonal (March -- October), Full Time, Occasional Overtime, Weekends, days and evenings.
Salary: $14.00 Hourly for 40 Hours per week plus gratuities
Location: Stanley Park and Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials: Valid Class 5 (basic) BC Driver's License is required.
Experience: Will train, preference given to those having experience with horses.
Language: Must speak, read and write English fluently. As we are in the tourism industry staff may encounter people with many different language backgrounds so having different languages is helpful, but being able to understand and speak English well is the most important thing.
Duties: Driving a horse-drawn carriage and narrating the tour. Interacting with clients in a helpful and friendly manner.
Specific Skills: Describe points of interest, develop and deliver commentaries, utilize microphones/headset, attend to customers' special needs.
Essential Skills: Writing and reading text, numeracy, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, continuous learning.
Other: Non-smoking work environment. Must be bondable and willing to sign a non-disclosure contract. Duties are outdoors and include horse-care. Uniforms are supplied and mandatory. Superhost certificate an asset.
