Now in it's 21st season, Gallery 7 Theatre, Abbotsford's semi-professional theatre, is looking for a set designer for it's fall production of S.E. Hinton's THE OUTSIDERS, opening November 4th. Responsibilities would include: working with the director to develop a concrete visual design concept for the production; preparing ground plans, elevations, etc; working with the company's volunteer construction manager during the construction phase, securing necessary set pieces and set dressings; and painting the set. Past experience in designing sets for live theatre is a definite asset, as is training in theatrical design and production. Design work would commence as soon as possible.
