Your priority responsibility will be to ensure the continuous availability & reliability of Linux-based systems. You will also be involved in infrastructure & application related projects to ensure the proper sizing, design, architecture & implementation of systems.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install, administer, troubleshoot & maintain all Med Access (Dev, QA & Prod) servers.
•Troubleshoot software & hardware errors related to systems deployed on Linux.
•Contribute to project activities by defining system architecture & implementation support
•Participate in capacity planning; operating system optimization to meet SLAs.
•Evaluate, test, install, & support hardware, software packages, & operating systems.
•Design & implement automated procedures for routine administration tasks.
•Identify problems & take action according to standard recovery procedures, including escalation to applicable support staff & management.
Key Requirements:
•BSc. in Computer Science / engineering or equivalent work experience
•4+ years experience with Linux administration of 20+ Linux Machines
•Exceptional problem solving & troubleshooting skills
•Excellent communication skills with both technical & non-technical people.
•Ability to write script in administrative languages (Python, Perl, Bash)
•Knowledge of Internet protocols, practices & standards
•Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environments, understanding the principals of routing, client/server programming & n-tier architecturesCheck us out at www.med-access.net
